EVA G. VAUGHN CLASSIFIED Miss Eva G. Vaughn, 89 years old, formerly of 716 Iris Street, passed away Saturday, July 20, 1974, after an extended illness. West Palm Beach, in 1927, from Miss Vaughn or originally came to Pensacola, Florida. She taught at Palm Beach Junior College in the first years of the college and for twenty-two years was a teacher at Palm Beach High School, where she was head of the Social Science Department until her retirement in 1949.

Miss Vaughn received her A.B. Degree from Cornell University and her Master's Degree from Columbia University, She was a member of the Seminole Chapter of the D.A.R. and the Chapter, both of West Palm Beach. Miss Vaughn was also a member of the Palm Beach Historical Society and the Cornell Club of the East Coast. In past years she was active in the Palm Beach Woman's Club and for seven years she served as President of the Retired Teachers Association of Palm Beach County.

In prior years Miss Vaughn was an active member of the Unity of the Palm Beaches. Survivors include four nephews: Walter B. Vaughn, Richard W. Vaughn, Harold L. Vaughn, Philip Y.

Vaughn and one niece, Mrs. Eva Baumeister, all of Pensacola, Florida. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M.
