Now though, Australians can also address dark spots, age spots and sunspots as the expert brand has launched its new Bright Reveal serum into Australia.
L'Oréal Paris Bright Reveal serum has launched in Australia and the10% Niacinamide and Amino-Sulfonic Acid formula aims to address all types of dark spots.

The new beauty buy boasts a 10% Niacinamide and Amino-Sulfonic Acid formula, which work together as a powerful force, to address all types of dark spots.
Studies have shown that Niacinamide, also known as Vitamin B3, helps to improve the appearance of ageing facial skin in a number of ways, including addressing hyperpigmented spots.
The Amino-sulfonic acid acts as gentle exfoliant that removes dead cells and reveals a more even skin tone for a more radiant complexion.
Niacinamide, also known as Vitamin B3, helps to improve the appearance of ageing facial skin in a number of ways, including addressing hyperpigmented spots.
Dark spots or age spots are caused when cells produce more pigment in that specific area, which leads to uneven skin tone.
Changes in skin tone can be caused by both external and biological factors including hormones, or from UV rays and dark spots become more common as we age.
As well as targeting the common signs of ageing the product can also help to reduce post acne marks.
As you would expect with any L'Oréal Paris product, consumer tests for the serum have revealed compelling results.
In just two weeks subjects saw a reduction in dark spots* and skin texture looked more refined** but after using for a month all types of dark spots are visibly minimised and users saw their skin was more even.***
What's more, many users said their skin looked instantly bright and more radiant after just one use.****
Despite only launching recently into Australia, the product has already racked up hundreds of five star reviews from happy customers.
The Dark Spot Exfoliant Peel, is inspired by professional treatments and contains a potent 25 per cent formula made up of AHAs, BHAs and PHAs as well as Niacinamide to brighten skin
Given the high praise and the study results, I was keen to try out the product for myself.
Like Eva, I've seen dark spots appear under my eyes during my pregnancies and it's something I haven't addressed before, but is an issue that has bothered me.
During my first application, I was genuinely impressed with the texture and the ease with which the serum absorbed. It is an incredible lightweight serum and has a delicate scent which feels very luxurious and it left my skin incredible soft and nourished after using it.
The Bright Reveal serum is incorporated into your skincare routine in the morning and night following cleansing, but before moisturiser, and I also followed with my usual SPF 50 in the morning too.
I found that the serum sits beautifully under make-up, it's not sticky, tacky or oily and was suitable for the sensitive skin around my mouth area, which can sometimes flare up with very dry skin.
This 15 minute treatment, inspired by professional peels, can be used up to four times a week, and leaves skin instantly glowing. In three weeks all types of dark spots can be visibly faded
I have been using it for two weeks and a prominent dark spot under my eye appears somewhat lighter, but more consistent use will be needed to evaluate long term results.
In addition to the Bright Reveal serum there is also the Dark Spot Exfoliant Peel in the new range, which contains a potent 25 per cent formula made up of AHAs (Alpha Hydroxy Acids) which helps to reduce the look of uneven skin, BHAs (Beta Hydroxy Acids) which visibly reduces pores and imperfections, and PHAs (Poly Hydroxy Acids) to gentle exfoliate as well as Niacinamide to brighten skin.
This 15 minute treatment, inspired by professional peels, can be used up to four times a week, but I introduced this product slowly, starting off with one application during the first five days, and building from there.
The first time I used the peel I experienced some tingling upon application but it wasn't uncomfortable. After rinsing the peel off I was blown away by the instant brightening effects and the way it left my skin so smooth and dewy.
My pores looked significantly smaller and my complexion appeared significantly brighter. I felt glowing.
Again, this product will need more consistent use to see longer term results as it can take three weeks for dark spots to visibly fade, but I'm hugely hopeful following the promising improvements already.
The Bright Reveal products are now firm fixtures in my everyday and weekly skincare routine, they are easy to use, provide instant results and I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to address dark spots or for those looking to achieve a brighter complexion.
