Klitschko: 'I'm surprised Fury got up'

Former heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko, has reacted to his compatriot Usyk doing what he never could.

In 2015, Tyson shocked the world by outboxing Klitschko, who had not been beaten in over ten years, to be crowned the unified WBA, IBF and WBO heavyweight world champion.

Nine years later, the Ukrainian was ringside to watch Usyk topple the Gypsy King.

He told DAZN: "It was very difficult to get close due to the size and mobility of Tyson Fury. In one word, Oleksandr Usyk changed from one to 100. Unbelievavble. I'm surprised Fury got up. He has the power but his power is his heart. I'm really proud tonight.

"He didn't get distracted form all of Tyson Fury's tricks. He waited for the opportunity to make full contact and he did it.

"Tyson Fury showed the heart of a lion and he recovered fast. I'm so proud of my man."

'The best heavyweight in the world'

Eddie Hearn on DAZN: "What a spectacle. It was a fight of two halves. How he survived the ninth, I thought it was very fortunate the referee didn't jump in and then what heart he showed and Usyk started to look tired.

"For me, it was a draw or Usyk by a point or two maximum. It was a mismatch early on but Usyk kept coming. What a fight. This is a massive moment for the fight.

"I thought the fight was over. You have the mark the brilliance of Usyk. He beat every champion at cruiserweight. He came up and beat AJ twice and now beat Fury. The best heavyweight in the world right now, fact.

"There's adjustments that can be made. Fury was never out of the fight. He was dominating. The rematch is a big, big fight now. This man is going to be difficult to beat."

    Usyk beats Fury

The last time all the belts were on the line, Lennox Lewis beat Evander Holyfield for the distinction over the distance in November 1999.

At the time, the WBO wasn’t a recognised major sanctioning body so there were only three belts up for grabs.

But at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia Usyk made history by picking up the WBC, WBA, IBF and WBO titles to become the inaugural undisputed heavyweight champion of the four-belt era in what will go down as an all-time classic.

Fury vs Usyk – Round 12

Usyk again seems to be the aggressor in the championship round but he walks onto a right hand from Fury that rocks him.

The Gypsy King lands a good body shot and beckons Usyk on before regaining some of that typical swagger.

His arms are behind his back - almost in defiance - as the pair wrap up for the final bell.

Fury grins and kisses Usyk on top of the head as the pair depart, surely he knows he was beaten tonight.

Usyk collapses to the canvas. All that's left is the judges scorecards and unless there's a robbery we have our new undisputed!

Fury vs Usyk – Round 11

Usyk is straight on the front foot as he throws a wild overhand right and uses his momentum to push Fury onto the ropes.

The WBC champion no longer looks in any immediate danger as he starts throwing jabs and uppercuts of his own.

But it's nothing that is fazing Usyk - Fury surely needs several knockdowns or a KO to have any chance of being undisputed now!

Ronaldo and AJ exchange words at ringside.

Fury vs Usyk – Round 10

Fury is desperately trying to ride out this storm but Usyk is sensing victory and comes hunting for that knockout.

The Gypsy King is just purely defending he's not offering anything of his own as he looks to survive.

He gets penned into the corner and caught with another one-two.

Usyk masterfully shows his patience as he bides his time and looks for his opportunity. He's slowed down going all-out for a KO.

We were asking him to show that famous fight IQ to change the momentum of this one and boy did he!

Fury at least has regained his footwork towards the end of the bell but is now far behind on the cards.

He'll need something special to wrestle this one back!
