Disney's Bay Lake Tower | Walt Disney World, Orlando Hotel (47) A worthy splurge

This hotel is very impressive. Everything looks clean and new. Even the complementary toiletries are above average. The hotel connects to the Contemporary via an outdoor bridge on the 4th floor (5th floor at the Contemporary), for convenient access to the monorail. We actually saw the Magic Kingdom fireworks from our hotel room on the 3rd floor. The kids loved the water slide in the pool. The staff was very friendly. Another bonus: we were able to get groceries delivered from the local Publix to use in the fully functional kitchen. The only amenity lacking was USB ports to charge electronics (hotel claims they have them, but they don't). Read less

Disney's Bay Lake Tower | Walt Disney World, Orlando Hotel (48) Location can’t be beat.

Location, location, location. This is what BLT and Contemporary Hotel gives you. The ease of access Magic Kingdom is priceless. But man, the place needs a spruce up. It’s not very contemporary or shiny anymore. Rooms are tired looking. We stayed in 7614 and furniture, especially the couch, have seen better days. Also note this room is over the… Read more

It’s not very contemporary or shiny anymore. Rooms are tired looking. We stayed in 7614 and furniture, especially the couch, have seen better days. Also note this room is over the service area so beeping trucks started at sunrise. But you do get a fireworks view so there’s that.Pool area is also lacking shine and is looking its age.Laundry room was actually working so no problem doing a load of laundry (not always the case). But it’s Disney and you can walk to Magic Kingdom so that’s what gets it 4 star. Disney's Bay Lake Tower | Walt Disney World, Orlando Hotel (49) Tons of noise

This is a very convenient hotel, which is awesome. We are dvc members and currently staying here and would highly recommend that you don’t do the Parkview. For the extra cost, it’s not worth it. This is a very convenient hotel, which is awesome. We are dvc members and currently staying here and would highly recommend that you don’t do the Parkview. For the extra cost, it’s not worth it. Go up to one of the high-level lounges and watch the fireworks if that’s what you’re looking for. they have constant deliveries early in the morning and make an incredible amount of noise. 6 o’clock, 7 o’clock 7:30 7:45 and that is so far today! This has been every day of our vacation. They wake up our kids after a long night in the park and we’re paying extra for it. It’s so annoying. These trucks idle for extended periods of time where they could totally shut their vehicles off. Today had one idol for 20 minutes white horns blaring the whole time. I had to go and check to make sure it wasn’t my kids alarm going off in their bedroom. I understand that deliveries need to be made but to pay extra for this room is a disgrace. Between that car alarm, going off, repeatedly for long periods of time, boat horns and the railroad horns don’t plan on getting any sleep. Do yourself, a favor and stay Lakeview, which is definitely more peaceful. Or at least it seems to be. better yet stay in another hotel. Read less

Disney's Bay Lake Tower | Walt Disney World, Orlando Hotel (50) Great Family Vacation!

Location was excellent! We had a two bedroom suite which has a third bathroom which was great for our big family. The room itself was a little drab. The carpets were dirty, the dishwasher didn’t work very well, but it didn’t really interfere with our vacation. The staff was excellent! We had two sick people who both had to be taken to the Disney ER, and the staff was so kind. They comped Uber expenses and checked in on us several times. Read less

Disney's Bay Lake Tower | Walt Disney World, Orlando Hotel (51) Hotel is a 3.5/4 but our experience and firework/lake view made it 5

We booked a 1 bedroom villa with the lake view. We were room 7810 for 6 nights. The view from this room ended up being half lake/half magic kingdom and a little tennis court/parking lot. What made it? The pretty views of the lake from the room, especially early in the morning, and watching the fireworks from our balcony almost every night! One of the highlights from our trip. It was 4 of us, my husband and me plus our children ages, 5 and 8.5. We loved having 2 bathrooms and they were both clean! My 5yo slept on the chair pull out and my 8.5 yo on the couch pullout. They are much more comfy and thicker than a regular pullout and kids slept great! The bed and pillows in the bedroom were very comfy as well! I knew this going in, but you are paying for the ritz or st Regis, but as w most things Disney…lower your expectations a level or two. The room was clean and overall nice and we’d love to have this room again. The only negative things I have to say were that the fridge had dents all over it and the bedroom bathroom vanity wood was worn off in a few places. The dishwasher (I think it’s the detergent) also leaves spots on things. We still had a wonderful time and I was very nervous staying here due to some of the reviews. We would gladly come back to walk to MK and see those fireworks relaxing from our room away from the chaos. Read less
