CHAUMONT — More than a year after a battery storage fire in Chaumont burned for days and prompted residents to shelter in place, Gov. Kathleen C. Hochul has announced recommendations of the interagency fire safety committee she put together in response.
Hochul announced the working group comprised of state agency officials on July 28, 2023, as a result of battery storage fires in Jefferson, Orange, and Suffolk counties.
